Adina Ellis

Adina H. Ellis, age 82, formerly of Rhodesdale, MD, went to be with the Lord on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011.

Born on August 6, 1929 in Washington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl Royal Henning and Henrietta Burand Henning.

On December 8, 1948 she married Ernest Paul Ellis, Sr. He died on April 22, 1977.

Adina had worked for Airpax for many years. She attended Cambridge Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are three children Paulette Meekins and her husband Wendell, Sr. of Cambridge, MD, Robin Ellis and his wife Amy of Cordova, MD and Ernest Ellis, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Salisbury, MD; a brother Donald Henning of Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were two sisters, two brothers and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 1st at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery Chapel, Hurlock, MD.
