ANNA MAE FAULKNER
Anna Mae Faulkner, age 84, of Cambridge, MD, died Saturday June 13, 2009 at Chesapeake Woods Center, Cambridge.
Born on March 3, 1925 in Wytheville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Richard Terry Stroup and Sara Jane Wright Stroup.
Mrs. Faulkner had worked for various sewing factories in the Cambridge area including Bogash and Joe Sealy Sportswear. Mrs. Faulkner also worked at Airpax from where she retired.
Suviving are six children James Sawyer and his wife Judy of Salisbury, MD, Larry Sawyer and his wife Madeline of Ocean City, MD, Louie Sawyer and his wife Racheal, Sandy Barwick and her husband Kenny, Robert Sawyer, Lonnie Sawyer and his wife Ann, all of Cambridge, MD; a sister Lucille Bonham of Elkton, MD, fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was a grandson Wayne Sawyer; a great-granddaughter Jennifer Tolley and a great-great-grandson Kaleb Lednum.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday June 27th at Countryside Christian Church, Austin Rd., Cambridge, MD. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Phil Sutton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made in Mrs. Faulkner’s memory to Countryside Christian Church, 5333 Austin Rd., Cambridge, MD 21613.
