Anthony Leroy Ratcliffe, 71, of Linkwood, MD passed away April 22, 2017 at his home.
Born on Tilghman Island June 4, 1945, he was a son of the late Hilda Phillips Ratcliffe and Richard
Lee Ratcliffe, Sr. After completing his schooling he began his career as a self employed carpenter.
Anthony had worked many years in the Frederica and Dover, DE areas before returning to the
Linkwood area twenty two years ago. During his spare time he was an avid wrestling fan. He and
his late wife Audrey, who passed away March 30, 2014, were very caring animal lovers. His greatest
enjoyment was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his daughters Sharon Mills and husband David of Salisbury, Kim Ratcliffe of Cambridge;
grandchildren Michael Perry, Jr. and companion Donna, Christie Fox and husband John, Kellan
Jackson and companion Chris, and Justin Jackson; sisters Marie Vogel and husband Karl, Barbara
Stewart and husband Calvert and Joyce Meritt; four great-grandchildren along with many nieces
and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his parents and wife was a son Thomas Kelly Ratcliffe ; Brothers,
Donald Ratcliffe and Richard Ratcliffe, Jr.
A viewing will be held Friday April 28, 2017 at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge
from noon till 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow beginning 1:00 pm. Officiating will be Elder Phillip Hopper.
Interment will be private at East New Market Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Mills, John Fox, Greg Askins, Kellan Jackson and Justin Jackson.
Following the service a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Moose Lodge, Cambridge.
