Ashley Murray

Ashley Marie Murray, 37, of Cambridge, Maryland passed away Friday evening, October 29, 2021 at her home.

Born on January 2, 1984 in Norfolk, Virginia she was the daughter of David Michael Murray and Mary and Paul Kortisses.

Ashley was employed with Rusticana Restaurant in Easton at the time of her death.  She had previously worked at Jimmie and Sooks Restaurant and Kools Carryout in Cambridge.  She also helped her mom at Seamist floral shop.

She along with her mom Mary enjoyed attending Mass at St. Mary, Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church in Cambridge.

Ashley had a love for cats.  She would trap feral cats and take them to the vet for treatment.  She showed an interest in photography but was known by her family as taking lots of selfies.

Surviving Ashley is her parents David Murray and Mary and Paul Kortisses; her son Darnell “DJ” Matthews, Jr.; siblings Michael, Robert and Joshua (Christina) Kortisses, Zoe Bowman, Hannah and Sara Murray; paternal grandmother Frances Murray; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date in March of 2022.
