Bonnie Pearl Duckworth, 94, of Cambridge, formerly of Pikesville, MD, died on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Chesapeake Woods Center, Cambridge.
Born on January 24, 1920 in Riceville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Milton Wylie Sneed and Hannah Green Sneed.
As a young adult, she moved to Cambridge, MD.
On March 26, 1945 she married Samuel Robert Duckworth in Cambridge, MD. They made their home in Pikesville, MD. Mr. Duckworth died on February 24, 1981.
Mrs. Duckworth had been employed with Maryland National Bank, Pikesville, from where she retired. She had been a member of the Pikesville Lions Club and was well known for being an excellent SCRABBLE player. She loved listening to piano music.
Since July of 2010, she has been a resident of Chesapeake Woods Center to be near her family.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and her husband were two brothers, six sisters and her companion Wally Price.
Funeral services will be held at the Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge, on Thursday, March 27, 2014 beginning 11 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Pastor Christina Blake. Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 beginning 12 p.m. at Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD.
