Catherine Breland

Catherine G. Breland died peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of December 28, 2014.
Born Catherine “Kay” Marie Groth, November 13, 1916, she grew up in Oak Park, Illinois.
Over her 98 years, she has also resided in Westchester, IL; Chatham, NJ; Richmond Hill, GA; Fort Myers, FL and East New Market, MD.
Married to Paul C. Andreasen 1943 - 1963 (deceased) and Francis F. Breland 1964-1977 (deceased). Wonderful mother, friend, wife, daughter and sister. She is survived by her daughters Lynn Andreasen Freeman of Norcross, GA and Linda “Brie” Breland Fadden of East New Market, MD; she was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Breland Marquand. Also survived by her sons-in-law Garth Freeman, Michael Fadden and Jon Marquand; grandsons Matthew (LeAnn), Bradford (M. Elizabeth) and Jeffrey (Shanda) Freeman, Christopher (Lea), Patrick (Melinda), Sean (Lauren Linzer) and Timothy (Natalie Daughton) Fadden; and by 9 ½ great grandchildren. She is survived by nieces Jane Groth Murphy and Nancy Breland Whitley and nephews Boyd Groth and Woodrow Breland. She is also survived by dear friends Doris Hiebel and Thurb Stowell.
We wish to thank her long term caregivers Eleanor Perry and Marie Akerman, and the wonderful people at Mallard Bay nursing home, for their love and support of our mother. A family celebration of life will be held in the future.
