Cherry S. Dudley, 63, of Cambridge passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at her home.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware on March 2, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Katie Pauline Morgan and George Albert Dorrell.
Cherry was a very personable lady, with a bright smile and warm personality she quickly became a friend to all. She had last worked with the Ocean City Transit Authority as a bus driver, she greatly enjoyed that position because it gave her a chance to talk and share her life with tourists, vacationers and co-workers alike. She retired a few years ago after 13 years of service. Horses and the mythical unicorn were her favorite animals and she also enjoyed anything related to the American Indian culture. Cherry had a huge heart and lots of love for all that knew her. She gave all she had to those in need. Cherry will forever be missed but will live on in our hearts and memories.
Surviving are her four children Greg Hitchcock, Crystal O'Malley, Tinisha Dudley and Jessey Dudley; seven grandchildren along with cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 beginning 6:00 p.m. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge. Officiating the service will be Pastor Eric Olsen. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations in memory of Cherry can be made via justgive.org and the family request they be given to any horse or Indian related organization on Delmarva.
