David Platts

David S. Platts of Trappe passed away on February 3, 2010 in Trappe, MD.
He was 79 years of age.

David was born March 19, 1930 in Bridgeton, New Jersey, the son of the late Leslie A. and Lula W. Platts. David grew up on a farm in South Jersey with his parents, older brother Walter and sisters, Clara and Marion. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother.

After graduating from Bridgeton High School, he served for four years in the U.S. Air Force in Texas and Germany. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Mr. Platts spent most of his working life in agricultural sales and marketing. In his later years he enjoyed being a caretaker of a waterfront property in Talbot County .

His marriage to Carol Montgomery ended in divorce.

David is survived by his sister, Clara Aldrich of Boca Raton, Florida; his sister Marion Sharp and her husband Charles of Bridgeton, N.J. as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation was entrusted to Mid Shore Cremation Center, Cambridge, MD.
