David Welsie Tyler, age 71, of Fishing Creek, MD, died Wednesday night, February 13, 2008 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury, MD.
Born on May 8, 1936 in Hoopers Island, MD, he was the son of the late Oliver George Tyler and Ella Marie Rhea Tyler.
On April 27, 1957 he married the former Cora Creighton.
Mr. Tyler was a self employed waterman and handyman. He was known for his ability to fix anything. He enjoyed working, keeping busy and fishing.
Surviving besides his wife of fifty years, Cora Tyler, are six children David H. Tyler and his wife Rose of Taylors Island, MD, Tommy Tyler and his wife June, Sherry Null, Shelly Tyler all of Linkwood, MD, Johnny Tyler and his wife Lynette of Ocala, FL and Sherry L. Tyler of Hoopers Island, MD; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a half brother Bobby Rhea of Delaware; a half sister Barbara Mowbray of Cambridge, MD; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers Sam Tyler and Dan Tyler.
Mr. Tyler was cremated and private services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were handled by Mid Shore Cremation Center, Cambridge.
