Felix Karpavage (known as Junior) of Taylors Island, MD, passed away September 21, 2010 with his daughter at his side. Born on July 8, 1927 in Wanami, Pennsylvania.
He joined the Coast Guard where he served on the S.S. August Belmont, Frederic C. Howe, Cape Falcon, Madawaska Victory and the S. S. Blue Island Victory. After the Coast Guard he served in the Army and finished serving his country in the Marine Corps.
He married Fannie L. Willey of Taylors Island where they resided and raised their three children. After the passing of his loving wife in 2002 he remained on Taylors Island until his health failed, where he then resided with his daughter in Cambridge. He leaves behind a son, Windy Karpavage and his wife Edwina of Taylors Island, a daughter Wanda Jones and her husband Tubby of Cambridge, and a son Felix Karpavage, Jr. and his wife Deana of Delmar, DE, five grand children, Richard Travis, Jr., and companion Christina Nicolosi, Bree Karpavage, Mahlah Karpavage, Caleb Karpavage and Trevor Karpavage, two great grandsons, Richard Travis, III (Big Guy), and Relic Hughes, one great granddaughter, Maeva Hughes.
A tear signifies and says many things throughout our lives, but when it's all said and done, it says - goodbye.
A private service for immediate family will be held at Bethlehem Church Cemetery, Taylors Island, MD.
