Howard Phillip “Boy” Frazier passed away peacefully the evening of January 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Howard and Adith Frazier, Boy was born on July 27, 1937 in Madison, MD.
A graduate of Cambridge High School class of 1955, Boy loved to be outdoors spending his life hunting and fishing the land he loved so much. After high school, he went to work as a welder for Cambridge Wire Cloth and then became plant manager of Wire Conveyer Belts for 15 years. Boy served 2 years in the Maryland National Guard, Cambridge Unit. In 1980, his love and respect for the water led him to be a commercial waterman where he captained his beloved boat the “Gloria J”. Boy loved to spend time in his “workshop” and could always be found outside working on one of his many projects. His love for the Lord led him to be a life-long member of Madison United Methodist Church, as well as his regular attendance of “Early Morning Service” at Grace United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Gloria Lankford Frazier and a sister Joan Frazier. His children Danny Frazier (Cathy), Tom Frazier, Missy Kenny (Wade) and Donna Travers (Rodney). His beloved grandchildren Jacob Kenny (Erin), Parris Abt (Stephen), Jade Kenny, Phillip Frazier, Myles Frazier (Natalie), Nellie Daigle (Justin), Gabby Travers (Kyle), Thomas Frazier, James Frazier, Millie Kenny, and William Frazier. Great-grandchildren Aiden and Emersyn Abt. A special nephew Doug Mayhorn and a special friend since childhood Bobby Aaron.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Phyllis “Sissy” James and uncle James Jarret, whom he loved like a brother.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 with visitation from 11:30-1 p.m. and funeral directly to follow at Madison United Methodist Church in Madison, MD with Rev. Robert Kirkley and Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow the service at Old Trinity Church Cemetery, Church Creek, MD.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Kenny, Phillip Frazier, Myles Frazier, Thomas Frazier, James Frazier and Jimmy Windsor. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Aaron, Charles Moore, Robert Condon, Barry Wingate, Doug Mayhorn, Edward James, and Charles Bromwell.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Madison United Methodist Church and or the Alzheimer’s Association in his honor.
