Irma Fox

Irma Marie Gore Fox 83, of Cambridge passed away peacefully Monday, June 22, 2015 at Jackson’s Special Home in Cambridge where she had resided the past three years.
Born March 12, 1932 she was a daughter of the late Washington and Daisy Hughes Gore of Andrews. She attended the local schools in the Crapo area.
On September 8, 1954 she married John W. Fox, Jr. She was the wife of a career U.S. Navy man and together they enjoyed over 56 years of marriage before his passing May 30, 2011.
Irma had worked at the Eastern Shore State Hospital as a nurse’s aide and retired in 1992 after over 25 years of service. After retirement she enjoyed watching her grandson. A quiet and caring woman she always took pride in her appearance and kept her weekly hair appointments.
Surviving is her daughter Kandy Fox of Cambridge; grandson Logan Fox and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was a brother Emmitt Gore and a sister Katherine “Kitty” Smith.
Services will be private.
