James Shannon "Shane" McGlaughlin, 36, formerly of Fishing Creek, Md passed away May 16, 2015 in Baltimore, Md..
Born December 7, 1978 in Easton, Md. He was the son of Jacquelyn Aaron McGlaughlin and the late R. Michael (Mike)McGlaughlin. Shane attended South Dorchester Elementary and graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School class of 1997. In 1999 he enlisted in the US Coast Guard and served aboard the USCGC Dependable. After serving his country for four years with a honorable discharge he returned to his home in Fishing Creek. For the last several years he has been living in Baltimore and had been employed with Ikea, Phillips Seafood, Mtc Logistics.
Shane was very friendly, out going with a warm smile, and a kind and tender heart. He was fun to be around most of the time and quick to make you laugh, even on your worse days. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends that he leaves behind.
Surviving is his mother Jacquelyn ( Jackie ) of Fishing Creek; brother Scott and his wife Heather of Church Creek; his fiancé Terri Houck of Baltimore, Md. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Best friends, Art Phillips, Scott Barnes, all the Island Boys and the Girls, his shipmates that he served with while in the US Coast Guard.
Shane loved each and everyone of you !
Services will be held private for the family.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Shane can be made to Cambridge Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3105 Mallard Court, Cambridge, MD 21613.
