Jay F. Morris, age 67, a former Ocean City, MD resident, passed away on September 2, 2008 in Sun City Center, FL.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of the late General I. Sewell Morris and Joslin Morris.
He received degrees from the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University. Jay attained many professional accomplishments, chief among them Director of Administration, office of the President-elect (Reagan); Deputy Administrator of the Agency for International Development under President Reagan.
Jay had been a resident of Ocean City for eight years.
Jay is survived by two beloved sons, Luke of Tampa, FL; Jeffrey and wife Kathy of Pasadena, MD; and ex-wives Beverly and Angela.
A Memorial Service will be held at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 400 Benfield Rd, Severna Park, MD 21146 on Saturday, September 13th at 2 pm. Private interment was held at Old White Marsh Cemetery, also known locally as Hole in the Wall Cemetery, Trappe, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made in Jay’s memory to the Johns Hopkins University, 1740 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. 20036.
