Jeffrey Oliver

Jeffrey Oliver, 70, of Fishing Creek, Maryland formerly of Laurel, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at his home.

Born on March 15, 1953 in Takoma Park, Maryland he was the son of the late Norman Oliver and Zara Hardesty Oliver.

Jeffrey attended the local schools and graduated from Blair High School with the Class of 1971.

On August 4, 1973 Jeffrey married his high school sweetheart the former Linda Best.  Jeffrey and Linda moved to the Eastern Shore in 2010 and made their home in Fishing Creek.  Linda died in 2020.

Jeffrey was a diesel mechanic and employed with Eerie Bus Company until his retirement on April 6, 2020.  He enjoyed fishing, watching his favorite sport teams the Washington Redskins and the Nationals and spending time with his family.  

He is survived by his three children Jennifer Oliver (Joseph), Nick Oliver (Robyn) and Sarah Oliver (Trevor); grandchildren Nathan (Jasmine), Gabrielle, Mikaela, Lukas, Logan and Declan; great grandchildren Marcus, Atreus and Leo; siblings Laura, Sandy, Mark and Joe.  He is also survived by his dog Polly whom he considered his 3^rd daughter.
