Jesse W. Faulkner, 81, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD.
Born on March 10, 1945 in Dorchester County, he was a son of the late Pearl Paul and Wilbur Faulkner.
As a young man Jesse joined the Army and served his country for two years. After his discharge from the military he married the love of his life Henrietta and they were married 35 years before the passing of Mrs. Faulkner in 2009. He was employed at various jobs including, Burton Hastings Contractors and Western Publishing. Jesse and his brother Jack played in several bands in Maryland and also other states and together made beautiful music. They were so proud when they successfully recorded two albums.
Jesse was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed fishing, playing on his CB radio, video recording weddings, birthday parties and kids just having fun. He will be missed by his family and his many friends.
Surviving him is a sister Betty Travers of Cambridge; a brother Jack Faulkner of Cambridge; a granddaughter Echo Sacra of Virginia; a nephew who was more like a son, Jason Robinson and several other nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his parents and his wife was a son Gregory Sizemore; sister, Jeanette Fairbanks and a brother Wilbur (Buddy) Faulkner.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 beginning 1 p.m. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge, with Pastor Abe Lankford officiating. Family will receive friends an hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park, Cambridge.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Robinson, Michael Laird, John Hastings, William Vasquez, J.T Robinson, Jeffrey Prahl, Donald Bell and Donald Cannon.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, 308 High Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 to help defray the funeral expense.
