Joan M. Stump, 76, of Cambridge, Maryland passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at her home.
Born in Cambridge on December 7, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Susan Bridge Harrison and C. Lee Harrison.
Joan attended the local schools and graduated from Cambridge High School. On January 5, 1962 Joan married Robert P. Stump. They were blessed with two sons and enjoyed 53 years of marriage before his passing July 29, 2015.
Joan had worked at Airpax Electronics in Cambridge and later was employed by Dorchester County Board of Education as a cafeteria worker. She loved to bake for her family that she loved dearly. Joan also liked to watch movies, especially science fiction and horror ones. She will be greatly missed by her close family and friends.
Surviving are her sons James “Paul” Stump, Jr. and wife Patti of Cambridge and Robert Lee “Bobby” Stump also of Cambridge; special niece that she considered her daughter Ashley Ellis and husband Troy of Cambridge; sister Peggy James; sister-in-laws Kathy Harrison and Barbara Harrison; grandchildren James P. Stump, Jr. and wife Jaclyne, Lillie Stump, Bradey Ellis and Noah Ellis; great-grandchild Jacelyn Stump and special friends Doris Johnson and Phyllis Webb.
Preceding Joan in death besides her parents and husband are brothers Franklin, Jimmy and William “Billy” Harrison.
As per Joan’s wishes, services will be private.
