Joan F. Ebert, 81, of Cambridge, Maryland passed away on Sunday morning, December 15, 2019 at her home.
Born on December 18, 1937 in Baltimore City, she was a daughter of the late Lordest Faith Badger and Ruby Phillips Badger.
Joan married Walter E. Ebert on September 9, 1958 and together raised three daughters.
She and her husband Walter relocated to the Eastern Shore in 1963 and made their home in Cambridge, Maryland. Mr. Ebert died on August 2, 1982.
Joan was employed at Airpax and worked up until they closed their site in Cambridge.
She had several hobbies which included, gardening, working with puzzles, loving on her fur babies’(cats) and at times, going to the slots. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being in the comfort of her home.
She is survived by her three daughters Darlene Ebert (Tomas Diaz) of Linkwood, MD, Erika Foxwell (David) of Linkwood, MD and Michelle Brown (Jeff) of Homestead, FL; grandchildren Lee Diaz, Jamie Nance, Eric North, Jr., Jason North, Kristin Beasley, Crystal Foxwell and David Foxwell, Jr.; eight great grandchildren; brothers Sonny Badger and John Badger; sisters Ruby Saunders, B.J. Brown, Peggy Andrews, Patricia “Patsy” Vincent and Sandy Wheeler; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was two sisters, Shirley Warner and Norma Badger.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 beginning 1 p.m. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge with Rev. David J. Wooten, Jr. officiating.
A viewing and visitation with family will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
