JULIA E. MILLS
Julia Etta Dean Mills, age 80, of Wingate, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Mallard Bay Care Center, Cambridge, MD.
Born on September 17, 1927 in Wingate, Dorchester County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Whittington Dean and Maysie M. Tall Dean. She had attended Wingate Elementary School and Crapo High School.
On May 27, 1944 she married Ralph Vignuelle Mills.
Mrs. Mills was an active member of Souls Harbor Church of God, Cambridge where she was involved in various activities within the church.
Mrs. Mills was an avid reader, liked to travel, enjoyed shopping and enjoyed her cats and being a homemaker.
Surviving besides her husband, Ralph Vignuelle Mills of Wingate, MD, is a son Ralph A. “Tony” Mills and his wife Donna of Georgetown, DE., a sister C. Priscilla Andrews of Cambridge, MD, two grandchildren Maxine Faith Matthews and her husband Kendall of Federalsburg, MD, Ralph Anthony Mills II and his wife Diane of Greencastle, PA, four great-grandchildren Grace Elizabeth Matthews, Samuel Thomas Matthews, Julia Kathleen Mills, Carter Anthony Mills and two nieces Sherry Bradley and her husband Roland of Secretary, MD and Melanie Gore and her husband Jerry of Orlando, FL and a great-nephew.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother and sister-in-law Tom and Clara Dean and a brother-in-law Aldon Andrews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 27th from 1 to 2 p.m. at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. J. Edward King, Pastor of Souls Harbor Church of God, The Rev. C. Stacey Johnson, Pastor of Victory Tabernacle Church of God, Laurel, DE and The Rev. Paul Miller, retired minister from of Corbin, Kentucky. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park, Cambridge.
Pallbearers will be Donald Mills, O’Neal Windsor, Dan Mills, Anthony Mills, Kendall Matthews and Dwight Hastings.
