Kerry Meixner Kahl

Kerry Meixner Kahl, born April 6, 1954, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2023 with his family by his side. He was the youngest son of Winnie White, Buster White (stepfather) and Bill Kahl. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dianne Willey Kahl. Together they had three daughters, Kerry Ann Todd (Denny), Alivea and Toby; Kimberly Dawn McGinnes (Jerry), Maren, Aspen and River; Kaitlyn Meixner Kahl (Kyle McGinnis), Bricksen, Peyton, Karrson and Kylin.

Kerry was so proud of his daughters and the women and mothers they had become. He believed they had chosen their life partners well. He is also survived by a cousin, Leonard Lednum, Lee Lednum, niece Missy LeCompte and nephew Kevin Kahl. Kerry's brother Keith and his parents, Winnie, Bill and Buster, preceded him in death.

Kerry received a liver transplant in August of 2012. The donor of that liver was a local young man. The results of that donation allowed him to see his grandchildren born and witness another daughter's wedding. The family cannot express more gratitude to the donor's family.

Kerry is best remembered for his loud laugh, his odd sense of humor, his love of a good road trip, and his love for his dogs. Kerry had also been a long-time member of Jubilee Christian Fellowship (The River) church where he loved serving as a part of the sound team and as part of the security team.

A memorial service will be held at The River, 415 Academy Street in Cambridge at 2 o'clock on Sunday, October 1st. His lifelong Pastor George Wheatly will be officiating, assisted by Pastors Dave Yockey and Dan Davis.

Kerry chose to donate his body to the Maryland State Board of Anatomy for research and education. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, make monetary donations to Donate Life Maryland, 1730 Twin Springs Road Suite 200, Baltimore, MD 21227.
