Lawrence Thomas,

Lawrence F. "Tom" Thomas, of Neavitt, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Talbot Hospice House. Tom was 87.

Tom was born in Pot Pie, Wittman, on August 22, 1922 and was a U.S. veteran having served during World War II in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.

Tom's hobbies were wood working and tinkering. He loved animals.

Surviving is a daughter Diane Ries and her husband Gordon Ries; a son Wayne F. Thomas all of Bozman; and a grandson Matthew T. Ries of Alexandria, VA.

Preceding him in death was his son John A. Thomas and his wife of 64 years, Margaret Thomas.

The family plans a private memorial service at a later date.

Memorial offerings may be made in Mr. Thomas' memory to Talbot Hospice Foundation, 586 Cynwood Dr., Easton, MD 21601.

Cremation was entrusted to Mid Shore Cremation Center, Cambridge.
