LEE L. TRAVERS, JR.
Lee Lehman Travers, Jr., age 70, of Hoopersville, MD, died Friday evening, January 4, 2008 at Dorchester General Hospital.
Born on October 19, 1937 at Fishing Creek, MD, he was the son of the late Lee Lehman Travers, Sr. and Sally Mae Lewis Travers.
He had attended Hoopers Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mr. Travers was a truck driver for most of his life having worked for G.W. Hall Seafood, Rippons Brothers Seafood, Dorchester Lumber Company and Robinson Chemical.
Besides working, Lee enjoyed cutting grass.
Lee has been the companion of Lessie R. Coulbourne of Hoopersville, MD, for over twenty one years.
Surviving besides Lessie and her family are two sons Lee “Sonny” Travers, III and his wife Ruth Ann of Rhodesdale, MD, Randy Travers also of Rhodesdale, MD, a sister Lula T. Travis of Cambridge, MD, two grandchildren Tanya Moore and Lee Travers VI, seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8th at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. Joseph Kelly. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jason Windsor, Jim Windsor, Brian Hall, Raymond Ashton, Don Wilcox, Clarence Ruark, David Colman and Pete Stanley.
