Mabel Tall

Mabel Virginia “Ginny” Tall, age 77, of Cambridge, MD, died Monday morning, March 29, 2010 at Chesapeake Woods Center where she had been a resident since March.

Born on October 8, 1932 in Anne Arundel County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Thomas M. Hynson and Henrietta C. Waters Hynson.

On November 20, 1954 she married Oswald L. Tall. He died on August 30, 1982.

In 1978 she and her husband moved from Glen Burnie, MD to Hooper’s Island, MD.

Ginny, as she was known, was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, quilting and scrapbooking.

Ginny had worked as a crab picker for Rippons Seafood, Tony’s Seafood and G.W. Hall.

Surviving are four children William Leroy Tall and his wife Gwen of Curtis Bay, MD, Patricia Ann Tall Snyder and her husband Darrell of Great Cacapon, W.VA, Nancy Jean Brittingham of Cambridge, MD, John Thomas Tall, Sr. and his wife Rhonda of Hoopersville, MD; six grandchildren William Leroy Tall, Jr., April Marie Large, Ericka Lynn Large, Jessica Lynn Brittingham, John Thomas Tall, Jr., and Kevin Bryan Tall; a step-granddaughter Teresa B. Smith; two great grandchildren November Tristen Aikens and Daysha Elynn Large; and two step-great-granddaughters Meagan V. Smith and Lauren N. Smith.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was her son-in-law Gerald D. Brittingham.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 2nd at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be The Rev. Doug Ridley and the eulogy will be led by family friend Ke’van Sullivan. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Tall, J.T. Tall, John Ashton, Joshua Willey, Robin Hall and Brian Hall.
