Maria Duncan

Maria Dolores Duncan, 54, of Cambridge, Maryland died Saturday morning, March 5, 2016 at UMSMC at Easton with her loving family by her side.
Born in Virginia on July 19, 1961 she was a daughter of Maria Castellanos Ennis and Delbert Ennis. Maria graduated from Surratsville High School with the Class of 1979. She then attended MacQueen Gibbs Nursing School in Easton, Maryland.
On August 1, 1981 Maria married Thomas G. Duncan, Jr. and together raised nine beautiful children. Maria was a full-time mother and homemaker who enjoyed reading, cooking, cross-stitching, and enjoying the company of family and friends. Above all else she enjoyed devoting herself to Jesus and being involved in the community’s religious identity.
Surviving Maria besides her husband, are her children Thomas and wife Erica, Walter and wife Jaime, Cristina, Marguerite, Joseph, Timothy, Daniel, Abigail and Steven; Her grandchildren Summer, Hailie, Ella, Ayden, Addison, Mackenzie, Savannah and Piper; her father, Delbert Ennis; her Mother and Father-in-law Thomas and Frances Duncan; her sister Frances Hicks and husband Ray; her brother Anthony Ennis; her Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law Brad & Chris Duncan and Adam & Kimberly Snyder; Several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her mother Maria Castellanos and granddaughter Bailey.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 beginning 12:00 noon at Sunnyside Alliance Church, 6010 Sunnyside Court, East New Market, MD with Pastor Dick Storr officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the church. Interment will follow at the Oxford Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Maria’s sons.
