Marilynn L. Wagner

Marilynn Lovera Wagner, 71, of Cambridge Maryland, passed away on April 17th at 6:49PM at Tidal Health Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Marilynn was born on October 8, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland to Irving Sparrow Sr. and Lovera Sparrow. She grew up in Glen Burnie and attended Glen Burnie High School. She went on to work in book binding, FM 106 radio station and Bank of the Eastern Shore prior to retiring 15 years ago.

Marilynn married Howard on October 7, 1997, and were together for 28 years. They built a house on a farm on the Chicamacomico River in Cambridge. They shared multiple pets as Marilynn always had a soft spot for her “fur babies”. While Howard farmed, Marilynn took care of her friends and family almost daily. Her selflessness could never be denied.

Marilynn was preceded in death by her daughter, Amie.

Marilynn is survived by her husband, Howard Wagner Jr., her granddaughter Ryleigh Yirka, her son in law Michael Yirka, her stepdaughter Suzanne Arbogast nee Wagner and husband Rodney Arbogast, and her stepson Clark H. Wagner and his wife Susan McDonald.

Marilyn’s funeral service will be held on April 24th beginning 2PM, at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home 308 High St, Cambridge, MD 21613. The service will be officiated by her brother Irving Sparrow Jr.

After the funeral, everyone is invited for food and socialization at the American Legion, Post #91, 98 Sunburst Highway, Cambridge, MD 21613.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marilynn’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 in Marilynn’s memory.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Tidal Health for being so supportive during this time. They also would like to thank all her friends and family that have shown their support during this time.
