Martin W. Lavin, 45, of Salisbury, Maryland passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford, Delaware after a sudden illness.
Born March 28, 1971 in Media, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Carmen Yeater Lavin and William “Bill” Lavin, Sr. He grew up in Pennsylvania.
For most of Marty’s working career he was a machinist at a few manufacturing plants in South Carolina and Maryland.
Marty was a very loving outgoing individual and usually the life of the party. He was the kind of person that what you saw was what you got. That alone made him loved by all. Fishing, boating, and four wheeling with his children was his greatest enjoyment. All will miss his bright happy smile and ability to make you smile as well.
Surviving him besides his parents, are children Tyler W. Lavin, Jacob P. Lavin, Joshua K. Lavin, Jordan C. Lavin and Julia N. Lavin; Grandmother Doris Yeater; sisters Victoria “Tori” Valenti and Vanice M. Lavin; brother Richard Lavin; his special dog Heidi and many friends.
Preceding him in death was his brother William “Billy” F. Lavin, Jr.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 beginning 7:00 pm at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm till the service. Officiating will be Rev. David J.Wooten, Jr.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
