Mary Brown

Mary Ellen Brown, 93, of Church Creek passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the home of her daughter Mary and son- in- law Bruce where she resided for the past 8 ½ years.
Born May 5, 1920 in Baltimore she was a daughter of the late Mary Eichelman and George Thomas Grace. She attended schools in the Baltimore area and continued her education at the local college.
On May 10, 1942 she married Elmer Bernard Brown. During their working careers they enjoyed visiting the Eastern Shore and in particular Dorchester County. Mary was a Secretary with Shellcraft Manufacturing for over 23 years. She retired in 1982 and afterwards moved to Church Creek. Mr. Brown passed away October 20, 2004.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Moser and her husband Bruce of Church Creek, Patricia McCubbin of Cambridge; a son Bernard Brown and his wife Trish of Stewartstown, PA; a sister Margaret Fankhanel of Sharon Hill, PA; a brother Dennis Grace of Landsdowne, MD; grandchildren Gary P. Spencer and his wife Rebecca of Rising Sun, MD and Jason B. Spencer of Wingate, MD.
A committal service will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 beginning 1 p.m. at the Chapel of the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Crownsville, MD.
Officiating at the service will be Deacon Tom Yannuzzi.
