Michael Rubin, 65, of Cambridge passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at Mallard Bay Care Center, Cambridge.
Born June 15, 1949 in New York, he was the son of the late Henrietta Cohen and Joseph Rubin.
Michael was an accomplished pianist. During his career with the Air Force he was a member of the Air Force Band. He performed at many of the military functions and greatly enjoyed participating with the Bob Hope USO Tours. Michael retired from active duty after serving in Operation Desert Storm.
Surviving is his wife of twenty years, Cheryl Herman Rubin who he married September 21, 1994; daughters Harmonie Rubin Proctor and husband Riva of Fredericksburg, VA and Leah Ariel Rubin and companion Billy of Colonial Beach, VA.; grandchildren Carrick, Arianna, Tristian and Phoneix.
A funeral service with military honors will be held at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery Chapel on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 beginning 1:00 p.m. Rabbi Peter Hyman of Temple Brai Israel, Easton will officiate.
Interment will follow in the cemetery.
