Morris Wayne Pohl, Sr.

Morris W. Pohl, Sr., 83, of East New Market, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born on July 20, 1940 in Dorchester County, Maryland he was a son of the late Henry August Pohl (Margaret Pohl) and Louise Burton Pohl (Mace Wolfe).

On December 2, 1966 Morris married the former Joyce Bramble.

Morris had worked for BJ Linthicum, Hallowell Chevrolet and retired as a machinist from Cambridge International (Cambridge Wire Cloth).

Morris was always a sports enthusiast, in his younger years he played softball.  He enjoyed watching baseball and football.  He also was an animal lover and enjoyed going antique and thrift shopping.

He is survived by his wife Joyce; sons Morris Wayne Pohl, Jr. (Melanie) and Kevin Wade Pohl (Donna); grandchildren Natalie Ahrend (Miguel), Nathan Pohl and Savannah Pohl; great grandchildren Athena and Rhea Ahrend; a sister Kendra Pohl Nichols; brothers William “Skip” Burton Pohl and Frankie Pohl (Elaine) and sister-in-law’s Gloria Pohl and Mary Pohl.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was a brother Randy Pohl.
