Noble Curtis Bloodsworth, 92, of Cambridge, Maryland passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Autumn Lakes Chesapeake Woods.

Born on August 31, 1928 in Crocheron, Maryland, he was the son of the late Minnie McGlaughlin Bloodsworth and Noble Andrew Bloodsworth.

Curtis was in the Marine Corp. He then worked as an officer for Tidewater Fisheries. He spent most of his life working on the water catching crabs and oysters. He later became a seafood wholesaler and eventually retired. He was formerly married to the late Jeanette Burton Bloodsworth.

Curtis enjoyed and loved his family. He had a smile for everybody and a great love of life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to sing. Most of all he enjoyed people and was happy to talk to anyone, old or young. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Curtis is survived by his wife Ernestine Bloodsworth; step children Janet Towers and the late Pam Towers; daughter Vickie Bloodsworth Del Grosso (Joseph), son Kirk Bloodsworth, granddaughter Tori Abbott Oberst (Paul), great grandson Wyatt Samuel Abbott, grandchildren Kristen Carmen (Ross), Ryan Del Grosso, Cameron Del Grosso and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Open Bible Church September 9, 2021with Pastor Steve Bloodsworth. The family will receive guests and relatives from 12pm to 1pm. Following a brief service light refreshments will be served.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Curtis’ name can be made to the Open Bible Church and the Open Bible Academy, 1619 Race St., Cambridge, MD 21613.
