Peggy D. Ross. 77, of Cambridge, Maryland passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 with her loving son by her side at his home.
Born in Cambridge April 21, 1937, she was a daughter of the late M. Viola Mills and Charles Hubbard, Sr. She attended local schools and afterwards went to work with Rob Roy Company. She was a seamstress for over 30 years.
Peggy loved to dance. She would dance to country music or any music. For a number of years she also played pool in different leagues. She enjoyed them all but especially enjoyed playing with her grandson. Her family and friends also looked to Peggy to take care of their sewing needs and she was always happy to do so.
Surviving is her daughter Diana Toombs and husband Edward Frank of Florida; son Steven Ross, Sr. of Cambridge; grandchildren Steven Ross, Jr., Darrell Ross, James Ross and Matthew Ross; great-grandchild Darrell Ross, Jr. numerous half and step siblings; a number of nieces and nephews; and Steve’s Chihuahua “Granddaughter Midnight”.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was brother Charles Hubbard, Jr., sister Janet Travers and daughter-in-law Carol Ann Ross.
A Celebration of Life with the family will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 from 2:00 till 4:00 p.m. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Peggy can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2002 Clipper Park Road, Baltimore, MD 21211.
