Peggy Carol Savage, 65, of Hagerstown, MD passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born October 10, 1947 in Cambridge, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Barnes Furr.
She attended local schools and graduated from Cambridge High School with the Class of 1965.
Before retirement, Peggy worked in several areas including insurance, waitressing, and newspapers.
Peggy had many hobbies which included creating poems and writing short stories. Playing games and chatting with her friends on the Internet was one of her favorite past times. She was also a practical joker and would think of different jokes to play on people on April Fools’ Day.
Surviving her are daughters Christine Savage of Hagerstown, MD and Jessica Savage and companion Corey Dukes of Harpers Ferry, West VA; son Tony Savage of Easton; grandson Zack Mickey of Hagerstown; brothers Bill Furr of New Mexico and David Furr and wife Pam of Gaithersburg; special niece Kim Furr and several nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by a special family friend, Christine Ebersole Dunbar.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 beginning 1p.m. at the Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be Rev Dr. Robert Peters. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park, Cambridge.
