Ray Thoman

Ray C. Thoman of Crocheron, Maryland passed away Monday evening, January 6, 2014 at UMSMC at Dorchester on his 54th birthday.
Born January 6, 1960 in Hanover, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ruth Malehorn and William Thoman, Sr.
Ray moved from Hanover to Crocheron in 1986. He began working with Dorchester Crab Company on a part time bases. During the past 27 years his excellent work habits and love for the seafood business and its people helped him rise to the position of Manager.
A very outgoing friendly man, Ray was quickly accepted in the community and loved by all. He was a hard working and dedicated man. His favorite hobby and past time was his fondness for his toy trains.
Surviving is his companion of 21 years and love of his life Vickie Siebert; sons Travis Thoman and Ray Thoman, Jr. of Hanover, PA; sisters Sally Richardson and Jane Decker. Also surviving is Christal Thomson who Ray considered his step daughter, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
It was Ray’s wishes not to have any formal services.
Donations in memory of Ray can be made to Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 to help offset the unexpected expenses due to his sudden illness and passing.
