Rhonda Vickers

Rhonda Lyne Vickers, 64, of Toddville passed away at her home on January 1st 2022. She was born in Dorchester County, September 11th 1957 and was the daughter of the late Patricia Anne Hoffman and Jimmy Vickers of East New Market.

Rhonda graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High school in 1975. She had worked at Benedict’s Flower Shop she was also a caregiver for many years. She worked at Choptank Animal Hospital as well. Rhonda had such a big heart for animals. She would always pick up strays wherever she went. She also loved to cook and would spend hours in the kitchen. She was well known for her laugh and her smile. Rhonda loved helping others.

She leaves behind her daughter Nichole Harrison of Cambridge, Maryland; brother, Jay Vickers and his wife Susan of Pasadena; sister, Kim Vickers; step-mother Brenda Vickers; aunt Nancy Lee Paulson of East New Market; cousins Traci Insley, Sandy Henry and Terry Nuwer.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was her step father Jack Hoffman.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 beginning 1:00 p.m. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge with Rev. Doug Ridley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, 308 High St., Cambridge, MD 21613 to help defray funeral cost.
