Robert Franklin Bradshaw of Cambridge died on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cambridge, MD on February 2, 1936; he was 76 years of age and was a son of Mildred M. Bradshaw and the late Noble L. Bradshaw.

He was a graduate of Cambridge High School, class of 1954. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until his discharge in 1958. He served at Sampson AFB, New York: Travis AFB, California: Ramsey AFB, Puerto Rico, and Andrews AFB, Washington, DC. He was a Life member of the VFW Post #7460 in Cambridge and a member of The American Legion Post #91. He worked as a machinist for Dupont in Seaford, DE; Connelly Containers, Air Pax, Cambridge Wire Cloth and Cambridge International from which he retired in 1999.
His first wife, Kaye Wallace Phillips died on May 18, 2005; from this marriage one son, James H. "Jay" Bradshaw was born. He later married Margaret Fluharty Allen on June 30, 1984.

Robert loved working with his hands, gardening, and was an accomplished machinist. In his early years he loved playing mandolin and banjo with his brothers, playing at barn dances. They were called "The Bradshaw Boys". When he was young he enjoyed Turtle potting with his Uncle Dave Bradshaw. He also enjoyed crabbing, fishing, boating and hunting with his son Jay and Jay's dog, Bear.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Margaret Fluharty Allen of Cambridge; his mother, Mildred M. Bradshaw of Cambridge; a son, James H. "Jay" Bradshaw and his companion Cathy Mitchell of Cambridge; two brothers: Roy L. Bradshaw and his wife Faye; and William Randall Bradshaw, Sr. and his wife Ruth Ann; all of Cambridge. He is also survived by one step-son, Vernon Gregory Allen and his companion Georgianna LeCompte of Denton, and one step-daughter, Cheryl Allen Bush of Covington, Louisiana. Three step-granddaughters: Sara Margaret Riley of Louisiana; Kristi Marie Allen and Kelsey Lynn Allen of Easton, MD. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A. at 308 High Street in Cambridge, MD on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at 2 PM with Steve Bloodsworth and The Rev. Delmer Willey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
