Rosemary “Rosie” Hsu, 50, of Hurlock, Maryland passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 at UMSMC at Dorchester in Cambridge, Maryland.
Born on June 3, 1965 in Brooklyn, New York she was a daughter of the late Grace Kee and John S. Hsu.
In 1969 Rosie and her family moved from Brooklyn to Cambridge and loved the way of living on the Eastern Shore.
Rosie was born with multiple disabilities, but that didn’t prevent her from being a happy child and was most content surrounded by her family. She giggled and laughed a lot and was always looking for her brother Tommy. No one ever heard Rosie complain about anything.
She was enrolled in the education system and loved all of her teachers. In recent years she attended the Adult Medical Daycare Center in Hurlock with her brother. She was known to many by Rosemary but others would refer to her as Rosie and Mimi.
Surviving her are sisters, Jennifer Hsu, Joanne Beers (Michael) and Mary Lynn Hsu; nephews John and Paul Beers.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was her paternal grandmother San Yee who was such an integral part of the family and a brother Thomas E. Hsu who died on December 23, 2014.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 beginning 3:30 p.m. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge, with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating.
