Ruth Mills Creighton passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 4, 2018 in Woodland Park, CO. She was born May 8, 1927 to Wilbur and Ethel (Seward) Mills.
Ruth graduated from Cambridge High School in 1944. She worked as an administrative assistant for most of her professional career; 37 years with Phillips Hardware Co.; 1 year with Tabbert Industries and retiring after almost 10 years with Cambridge Wire Cloth.
Ruth loved her home on Bay Heights Avenue, driving, shopping and spending time with friends and family. Most weekday mornings she met friends at the “Sandy Hill Diner” and was a frequent patron of “Cindy’s Eastside Kitchen”. She had a love of animals; especially German Shepherds and horses. Palomino horses were her favorite. She also had an attraction for cowboys; preferably one with a palomino!
As her health deteriorated, in 2015, Ruth moved to Woodland Park, Co. to live with Mary Ann Todd and her family. For the past 2 years she was a resident of a skilled nursing facility due to her debilitating dementia and health issues.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and long-time companion Samuel Spear. She is survived by several cousins.
