William Franklin “Bill” Cook, 94 of Cambridge, Maryland passed away on Saturday January 9, 2021 at his home with his wife by his side.
Bill was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 30, 1926 to the late Guy Franklin and Marie Kurtz Cook.
He married the former Thelma Emily North on September 23, 2010 and they made their home in Cambridge.
Bill worked as a security guard at Dorchester General Hospital for many years. He then continued on and went to work for Walmart until he thought it was time for him to retire.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #91and VFW Post #7460. In his younger days Bill was a horse jockey and with his small stature he was a good one. He loved watching baseball and would tell his grandchildren “Don’t touch the remote”.
Surviving Bill is his wife Thelma; children Joyce D’Antoni (Fred), Gloria Downey (Rick) and Cathy Powell (Ed); daughter in-law Holly Cook; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death besides his parents is a son William “Billy” Cook.
