Biography


William Lloyd "Billy" Warrington, age 61, of East New Market, MD, died Sunday, November 22, 2009 after being stricken ill at his home and being pronounced at Dorchester General Hospital.

Born on June 16, 1948 in Cambridge, Dorchester County, MD, he was the son of the late Lloyd Warrington and Sara Casper Warrington and was raised in the Neck District area.

Billy, as he was known, was a member of Beckwith United Methodist Church in his earlier years.

On September 22, 1979, he married the former Melissa Ann Kirby.

Billy had worked at several places throughout his life. He had been a farmer, waterman and owner of Four Seasons Lawn Care. Billy had been employed as a machinist and welder for Earl Pritchett, Shenton's Auto Body, G. Nelson Jones, J.L. Marshall & Sons, Tieder Electric, all Cambridge businesses; Orion Safety Products of Easton; and his latest employment with Camtec of Church Creek, MD.

Billy loved the water in general and spent many enjoyable hours aboard his boats. His one boat was named after his business, Four Seasons. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and always liked to keep his hands busy working in his shop at home.

Billy was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Cambridge Moose Lodge #1211.

Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Melissa A. Warrington of East New Market, MD; a son Bobby Booze of Cambridge, MD; maternal grandmother Frances Spedden Casper Lowe of Cambridge, MD; two nieces Aimee Barr, Kristen Corbin; a nephew Ted Kirby; aunts Hilda Lee Marshall, Helen Barnett; cousins Sara Louise Peters, Patti Sue Webster and her fianc Jack Glessner, Steffie Webster, Ryan Peters, Tommy Barnett and his wife Beverly, Barbara Warrell and her husband Norman, Mike Barnett and more cousins; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lacey and Dale Weber of Hanover, PA; brother-in-law Grayson Corbin of Kingsville, MD; life long friends Gordon Thomas and Billy Beckwith, both of Cambridge, MD; and a host of remaining friends.

Preceding him in death besides his parents were his maternal grandfather Robert Casper; paternal grandparents Leon and Eva Warrington; a twin brother Richard "Dicky" Warrington; an aunt Edith Gregory and her husband Norman; two uncles Dick Marshall, Robert Barnett; a sister-in-law Mary Corbin; cousins Mary Burns and her husband Edmund, Walt "Grant" Barnett and a host of friends.

Billy was cremated. A visitation was held at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., on Saturday, November 28th from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. There was no formal service, just this time to visit among family and friends.
